pe-ironwood, Brazilian Teak, and Cumaru are a few of the hardwoods available to complete decking projects. Working with these woods takes much longer than composition or redwood, requires carbide blades for the saws, and requires all holes to be pre-drilled with diamond or carbide tipped drill bits. Needless to say the labor cost is higher than either composition or redwood decking.
However, when the project is complete, there truly is nothing quite as beautiful as a hardwood deck. It looks better, sounds better when you walk on it, and feels better when you touch it. It is rich and elegant. It is unique.
